Privacy and your data

Ginastera is operated by Izcaray LLC, an Alabama limited liability company. This page says what personal data we hold, why we hold it, who can see it, where it is stored, and how to get a copy or have it deleted. It describes what the product does today.

What we hold

Your account. Your email address, the role you chose, and a salted hash of your password. We never store the password itself.

Billing. Your plan, its status, and the customer reference Stripe gives us. Card details go to Stripe. We never receive or store them.

Your work. What you save in the application: programmes, rosters, rates, budgets, season plans, notes, library holdings and the texts you generate.

A Directory listing, if you create one. The name, instrument, city, links, media and repertoire you enter, and the email and number you give as contact.

A composer listing, if you create one. Your composer profile, your rental contact, and each work you submit with its score link.

The Student plan. For a student aged 18 or over: the institution, the kind of study and the year it ends. For a student under 18: the year of birth, and the name and email of the parent or guardian who holds the account. We never ask for an identity document.

Usage counts. A daily count of the texts you generate and the messages you send, so that limits can be enforced. We keep the count, not a separate copy of the content.

Requests for a missing work. The work you asked for, your note, and your display name. Other signed-in users can see these requests.

Data an orchestra enters about its own people

An organisation with an Institutional or Conservatory licence can enter its musicians' names, contact details, chairs, calls, time off and fees. The organisation decides what to enter and is responsible for it. We store it for the organisation and use it only to run that organisation's account.

If you are a musician and want to see or correct what an orchestra holds about you here, ask the orchestra first. If that does not work, write to us and we will help.

Why we use it

We use this data to provide the service you signed up for, to send you messages about your account, and to keep the service secure. A listing is published because you chose to publish it. You can withdraw that choice at any time by removing the listing.

Who can see what

Your saved work. You. On an organisation licence, also the people your organisation gave a seat to.

A Directory listing. Your name, role and links are visible to people signed in to Ginastera. They appear on the public Directory page only if you tick that box. Your email and number are never on the public web. You choose whether hiring accounts see them, or whether they stay private and hiring accounts write to you through Ginastera.

A composer's works. Once approved, a work is part of the catalogue. Your rental contact is shown only to people signed in to Ginastera.

Nobody else. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it to target advertising.

Companies that process data for us

Cloudflare. Hosting, the database, security, and visitor statistics that use no cookies.

Stripe. Payments and invoices.

Resend. Sending email: confirmations, receipts, password resets, and messages relayed to listed musicians.

Anthropic. When you ask the Accompanist to write, the programme facts and the question you typed are sent to Anthropic to produce the text.

Fontshare and Google Fonts. The public website loads its typefaces from these two services, so your browser contacts them when you read these pages. The application does not load them.

Where it is stored

The database is in the United States. If you are in the European Union, the United Kingdom or elsewhere, your data is transferred to and stored in the United States. We do not offer European hosting yet. If your organisation requires it, tell us before you subscribe.

Cookies

One cookie keeps you signed in. It is strictly necessary and lasts 30 days. The application also keeps your work and your preferences in your browser's own storage so that it opens quickly. We set no advertising or tracking cookies, which is why there is no cookie banner. Payment pages are Stripe's and follow Stripe's own policy.

How long we keep it

As long as your account exists. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete the account, your saved work and your listings. Database backups expire within 30 days. Stripe keeps payment records for as long as the law requires.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to support@ginastera.com from the address on the account. We answer within 30 days.

You can remove a Directory listing or withdraw a composer's work yourself, at any time, in the Directory. If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.

Young people

Accounts are for people aged 13 and over. A student under 18 needs a parent or guardian as the account holder.
